Asian American Coalition of Chicago - An organization of local Asian groups that puts on the Asian Festival in downtown Daley Plaza during the month of May and an annual Chinese New Year fundraiser dinner. Chicago Chinatown Chamber of Commerce - Business membership organization to help improve and expand business opportunities in Chicago's Chinatown. Also, to educate others on the history, culture, and customs of the Chinese American community. Chicago Chinese Cultural Institute - Conducts training programs and events to promote Chinese language and culture; introduce the best of Chinese culture to America and vice versa; educate people of the two cultures on how to communicate more efficiently; assist main-stream corporations reaching out to the Asian American communities; facilitate American corporations to do business in China by supplying outsourcing consulting and translation; organize city tours for Chinese visitors and Chinatown tours for general public; Import and export cultural products. Chinese American Service League - Founded in 1978, the Chinese American Service League (CASL) is the largest and most comprehensive social service agency in the Midwest dedicated to serving the needs of Chinese Americans Chinese Dragon's Athletic Association - An athletic organization that participate in community activities such as parades, Chinatown Summer Fair, Lion Dances and basketball leagues. They have a strong volunteer group that makes many events in Chinatown happen. Chinese Softball League of Chicago- A summer league for Asian softball teams. Miss Chicago Chinatown Pageant - Hosted by the Chicago Chinese American Civic Council. The pageant takes place every 2 years. |
